On game day my group played a game called Spoons. spoons is a pretty basic but entertaining game to play. The only two things you need to play are a deck of cards and spoons ( or something can be used to replace the spoons). The number of players will determine how long each round is. Depending on how you play; after each round whoever loses is out. Some people just continue playing all together regardless of who lost the round
The main objective of the game is to end up with four of a kind (meaning four cards with the same number). After the first person gets a four of kind they grab a spoon. The number of spoons are determined by the number of players. If five people are playing there will only be four spoons and if six people are playing there will only be five spoons. The spoon number is always one less than the amount of players. Once the first person grabs a spoon everyone else can grab one, but whoever doesn't grab one loses. That's why it is smart to try to secretively grab a spoon so no one notices, or just try to grab it as quick as possible.
Just like most other games there are many different versions of this. For example, there is Joker Spoons. It is played the same way as the regular version but you can use the jokers as substitution cards. So if you have three cards of the same number and one of the jokers in your hand you can use the joker to serve as the fourth card to complete your four of a kind. Once you start playing this you will want to keep playing it more and more. Spoons is fun, simple, and quick game to play with friends and family.
